Governance & Piloting
Our CSR strategy was initiated and supported by Samsic Group Management. The Corporate Social Responsibility strategy guidelines are defined with the Executive Committee. They are coordinated by the CSR - Sustainable Development Director in close collaboration with the Group's Divisions and subsidiaries.
Led by the CSR Director, the Sustainable Development Strategy Committee inspires a participative collective dynamic and organises the Corporate Social Responsibility strategy and commitments.
Within each subsidiary, the CSR Management Committee incorporates the goals of the CSR strategy, adapting them to local and sectoral expectations and issues. It then defines a CSR Programme applicable to its activities. The CSR Management Committee coordinates the deployment of the programme and drives global CSR performance. A network of CSR leaders coordinates and deploys the CSR programme in each country.
We review and develop our CSR strategy through an open and continuous dialogue with all our stakeholders. In 2017, we held discussions with more than 250 employees, customers, suppliers, partners, etc., in order to prioritise our CSR issues and create our materiality matrix. Each issue is prioritised from the point of view of the business and the stakeholders. Those which are priorities from both points of view are selected, planned and included in the CSR strategy.
We conduct all our activities in accordance with ethical principles and we are committed to respecting the laws and regulations specific to each country where we operate, including respect for human rights, responsibilities as a purchaser and anti-corruption are an integral part of daily preocupation.
We educate our employees about ethics and compliance through our ethics charter, with additional explanations in our guide to ethical behaviour and our Ethics Test.
