Driven by its Managing Director Agnieszka Stefanowska, Samsic Poland has initiated the creation of a foundation, independent and distinct from the company, called the Anna and Joseph Kumorek AJKUM Foundation, aimed primarily at providing help and support to the most vulnerable people battling cancer.

In collaboration with Samsic Poland, AJKUM has supported numerous solidarity actions related to this cause, including promoting equal access to treatment for all. This assistance is intended for Samsic Poland employees and their families, as well as for people outside the company who are also fighting these oncological diseases.

Drawing on the expertise of its members in developing charitable initiatives, the Foundation strives to carry out a wide variety of projects, from supporting the elderly and people with disabilities, to tackling exclusion or supporting the local community.

In addition, the AJKUM Foundation has recently participated, together with the Bona Fides Civic Activity Association, in a nationwide project designed to implement anti-harassment and anti-discrimination procedures at the workplace by the end of 2021. Indeed, in recent years, Polish organisations or companies have often failed to comply with the Labour Code. This national project, entitled "Act- Respect - Ban harassment and discrimination”, will bring together the AJKUM Foundation members and Samsic Poland employees to work on producing good practice guides on that matter. By the end of 2021, they intend to develop internal procedures for monitoring potential malpractice or irregularities and then share them more widely with other Polish companies.
